A Novel Protocol for Congestion Control in Mobile Ad hoc Network

J. Wang, E. Dutkiewicz, M. Abolhasan

Abstract

MANET could be an endlessly self- configuring, infrastructure-less network of mobile devices connected wirelessly. it's one among the categories of ad-hoc network. Here ad-hoc suggests that whenever there's want, devices establish the link. MANET is cluster of nodes, that area unit liberal   to move within   the wireless network.  The nodes area unit liable for forwarding the info or   packets from supply to destination. every node performs   the role of each host and router. Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) uses wireless connections to attach varied networks. There square measure range of problems and challenges in Manet owing to several range of nodes transmission packets over the network, the probability of losing the packets over the network will increase to a good extent. Also, with the rise in size and quantum of knowledge packets, the congestion over the network become greater which can additionally result in packet loses. The aim of this paper is to check the comparison of proposed protocols primarily based upon parameters like Throughput performance, Packet drop ratio, Packet delivery rate.

Keywords
