Remote Field Monitoring and Data Acquisition System Using GSM

Priyanka Pannu, Amita Soni

Abstract

Remote monitoring is the technique which is used to transmit useful information between the locations which are far away from each other and cannot exchange information through direct contact. As temperature and humidity are very important factors for determining any environment, it is very important that temperature and humidity of environment be monitored. For the high quality environment the quality testing is required. So the main aim of this paper is to get informed about the environmental changes wirelessly. This paper proposes a remote monitoring system based on GSM measuring temperature and humidity. Temperature sensor, humidity sensor and GSM communication technology are used in the system which performs data acquisition and transmission, and implements remote monitoring. In this paper the temperature and humidity of two places are monitored and sent to the receiving end using multiplexing.
