Securing Web Services through WS-Security in SOAP Protocol

Abstract


Web services are the new innovation in this era.Because of the cross-platform and language independent nature of the web services, it is getting accepted by the various industries. When it is exposed to the various dominant industry players, there is a need to care about the web service security. WS-Security is an abstract specification for the implementation of security in web service. In this paper, WS-Security specification is described and its implementation in .NET is specified.
