A Comparison of Data Replication Schemes to Achieve an Optimum Query Delay and Efficient Data Access in MANETs

Joslin Anie Abraham, Dr. C.D. Suriyakala

Abstract

In mobile ad hoc networks, network partition generally causes link/node failure. This will make a delay for providing requested data to nodes. It affects the data sharing performance in network. To cope up with this issue, data replication techniques are used. These techniques will either reduce the query delay or improve the data availability, but not both. This paper highlights the techniques that have a balance between data availability and query delay and compared with existing technique so that mobile ad hoc network performs efficiently.
