IoT based Real Time Industrial Monitoring System using Raspberry Pi

Abstract


As the world is getting more technologically forward looking, we find new technology coming deeper into to our personal and professional lives. Existing industrial monitoring systems use CCTV cameras and PC based servers. These PC based servers requires real time analysis of data which make this server keep      on all the time which in turn increases the cost of the system. We can rectify this by using web servers with the help of cloud which require less infrastructure thereby reducing the cost of the system.   This will also reduce manual intervention reducing any damage which can be caused due to delayed response. This web server requires only chip implementation of Ethernet networking standards to connect with cloud which we can achieve by using Raspberry Pi development board.  The server allows web access to the automation and monitoring system and provides a real time solution in the form of controlling action and alert message.
