Influence of Tidal Oscillation and Thermospheric Wind on Equatorial Electrojet and Inferred Effects on Conductivity and Collision Frequency

Amresh Chandra Pandey

Abstract

First of all we have taken into consideration of
different type of parameters such as electric field, current,
electrostatic field etc. We have proposed to calculate collision
frequency and different type of conductivity such as hall
conductivity, Pederson conductivity and cowling conductivity, in
narrow belt (ribbon) of equatorial region where heavy current flow
occurs. The current density flows between the ionosphere and surface
has been discussed. It generates electron ion concentration dependent
on current density and conductivity gradient. I have tried to correlate
electric field and electrostatic field. I have also focused on magnetic
field and magnetic storm affect flow of current in equatorial region. I
have concentrated on how tidal oscillations and thermospheric wave
related to current flow in equatorial region. Thermospheric wind have
come into existence due to solar heating of the ionosphere solar wind
have produced at higher latitude due to penetration of electric field.
The hall current has produced due to magnetic field which also shows
that how geomagnetic field affects conductivity.
