Security Monitoring, Breach Alert & Image Capturing System

D. Gopi Krishna

Abstract

A typical Security Monitoring System provides the information of security breach and alerts the staff and the neighbours by an alarm sound. In this paper, we discuss the design, implementation of a Security Monitoring & Breach Alert System developed to monitor the security breach, capture the image of the unauthorized intruder using a CMOS camera and store it in a SD/MMC card. A low cost but effective GPRS based wireless communication system can further enhance the features required by the modern day. This project envisages on using CMOS camera along with the ARM processor ported with .Net Micro Framework. Initially, when the door gets tampered the image shall be captured by the CMOS camera and would be stored in the memory card. Later, an alert will be generated to the designated number or numbers in the form of SMS and the image would then be transmitted to the owner‟s mobile through GPRS. The image captured can be viewed in the mobile phone that supports GPRS.
