Energy Efficient Grid Node Deployment in Cluster Based Wireless Sensor Networks

Dharmayug Aiyavoo, P. Kaviya

Abstract

Wireless sensor network are characterized by dense deployment of energy constrained nodes. Mobile sensor node deployment and power management are the important issues in WSN system. The sensor nodes have reduced life time and also it limited to energy constraints since it is battery powered. We generally focus on a centralized power management scheme and node positioning in a grid manner. In this paper the node deployment is purely grid based; energy consumption is optimized with the usage of cluster based energy efficiency technique. Energy optimization in wireless sensor network is carried out by the help of TEEN (Reactive Network Protocol).TEEN is a centralized cluster based node deployment where thresholds are made.
