Abstract

The evolution of the mobile communication and the scenarios foreseen for the future fifth generation (5G) networks go beyond higher data rates. In this paper, an approach will be suggested based on applying Pattern Search (PS) Algorithm in Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) to maximize the total throughput for the SUs without affecting the QoS of the PUs under power and interference constraints in downlink underlay CR network. A comparison will be made between the proposed algorithm and other optimization techniques. The effect of some parameters such as number of PUS, SUs and subcarriers will be studied. Further, a comparison between the suggested GFDM system and the OFDM system will be investigated. Corresponding results show that the overall throughput for all SUs is increased, and this makes our new approach useful for practical applications.
