Peeyush Agarwal, S.M. Arvind, Sangya Thakur

Abstract

A number of technologies have been developed and employed to control transportation. But recent efforts in researchand industry point to a typical shift in intelligent transportation systems. Vehicles on the road will now be carrying computing and communication base, and will have enhanced sensing capabilities. They will enable new robust systems that enhance transportation safety and efficiency and will provide information with entertainment. This paper deals with the state-of-the-art approaches, solutions, and technologies across a broad range of research and development for vehicular communication systems.
