Abstract

Workflow technology has been an active area of research for many years. Though several workflow models have been designed in these years, there are very few attempts that have been made to design a cooperative workflow model. In this paper we propose a conceptual model for cooperative workflows in the distributed environments based on the Bonita workflow model. Bonita is open source cooperative workflow management software which is an ongoing project from object web consortium. We apply the model to an Online shopping scenario and analyzed the corresponding speed up. The results indicate that the model is valid and effective.
