Electromagnetic Compatibility and Heat Transfer in Domestic Ovens

A. Rufina, S. Bhuvaneswari

Abstract

A comprehensive coupled electromagnetic and heat transfer model is study to simulate microwave heating in domestic oven. The coupling between the electromagnetic and heat transfer is developed in microwave heating in domestic ovens. The utilization of microwave oven refer to the electromagnetic waves in the frequency range of 300 to 300,000MHz. The complete use of microwave oven provides a convenient way to thaw, cook, and reheat foods. During 20th century, environmental exposure to human-made EMF’s are increased steadily due to increased electricity and wireless technology use. This paper studied about the effects of electromagnetic radiations emitted from microwave oven on human and living organisms and it can be reduced by means of electromagnetic shielding with the help of Ansoft HFSS software. Hence we   insist the electromagnetic compatibility and heat transfer modeling using Ansoft HFSS software.
