Review on Application of Block Chain for Online Voting Systems

Gunnlaugur K. Hreiðarsson

Abstract

Because people have realized the potential of blockchain technology, many researchers have tried to find practical applications of blockchain. Blockchain is a decentralized, decentralized, generally public digital ledger made up of records called blocks used to record transactions between multiple computers, so all the blocks involved cannot be changed retroactively. No need to change all subsequent blocks. This allows participants to independently and relatively inexpensively check and review transactions. It autonomously manages the blockchain database using a peer-to-peer network and a distributed timestamp server. It is verified through large-scale collaboration of collective interest. This design facilitates a robust workflow where participants have little uncertainty about data security. This feature is used to develop more secure and transparent voting solutions.
