Abstract

The paper “A study of Biometric techniques and its implication in Educational Sector” tells about all the major techniques that are studied under Biometrics in detail. As these techniques are widely implemented in various sectors for different purposes, in this study, Educational sector is emphasized. A survey has been conducted in some institutes with a questionnaire which reflects some of the facts like what percentage of institutes are implementing it, for how long they are using it etc. All these facts are analyzed as represented as graphs. The study reveals that which out of all the techniques studied, is most widely used in Educational Sectors (like schools, colleges, institutes etc). It also emphasizes the major purpose for which it is being used. And in case, there are some problem in the technique what improvements are needed. It also includes, if given an opportunity, which alternative technique will suit their requirement and they wish to implement in future.
