Autonomous Navigation using SPA Concept

R. Krishnamoorthy, A. Kastro

Abstract

Autonomous navigation uses Sense Plan and Act (SPA) concept based on embedded technology. This is used for path finding in unsecured area. The main objective of this concept is to develop reactive navigation system that will make a tanker move autonomously to avoid obstacles. When IR sensor senses an obstacle, it passes the information to microcontroller. Then tanker starts to move in appropriate direction to avoiding the obstacles and sends the information to particular control room through GPS tracking system. The tanker can be used in front line during war for spying and fighting purpose. The tanker helps us to save the precious lives of our soldiers.
