Embedded System Based Smart Bike

M. Abirami, J. Asha

Abstract

Nowadays most of the countries are forcing the bike riders to wear the helmet and not to use the mobile phones while riding bike. But, the rules are still violated by the bike riders. In order to overcome this problem, the proposed system checks whether the person wearing helmet or not. If the particular person does not wear helmet the vehicle cannot be started. This system also checks whether the person is using mobile phones while riding and if it is so then the speed of the motor will gradually reduces and finally the motor will be stopped. Although there are various security systems and technologies, vehicles are being stolen at very high rate. The existing technique is touch sensitive security system which produces loud sound (noise) and this system limits to alert the owner of the bike but not be able to prevent the bike from being stolen. Therefore, an antitheft system is introduced which alerts the owner through SMS and also the ignition of the vehicle will be turned off.
