Passenger Destination Alert System and Fire Control in Train

A. Manonmani, A. Agisha

Abstract

The trains are moderate vehicles used for transporting people and goods. Mostly all the people prefer the train journey for longer distance as it is cheaper. Many people sleep with fear during long journey that they will miss their destination. There is no sophisticated system to alert the passenger before destination. Our paper gives an optimum solution to this problem. The proposed system alert the passenger by making their berths to vibrate for a few minutes before the train reaches their destination and also our paper focus on prevention of fire accident. There are a number of methods to avoid fire accident and to reduce the severity of loss. But fanning by wind spread the fire to other compartment. In our proposed system we use automatic water sprinkling, automatic emergency window opening method is implemented. And also it gives intimation about the fire to nearby railway station, driver and guard by using RF module. After the intimation is sent to driver it decouples the particular compartment to avoid the spreading of fire to other compartment by using PIC16F877A.
