Artificial Intelligence – a Silver Lining for People with Disabilities

Abstract


An era of revolution has commenced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) being the catalyst. At the moment, artificial intelligence is a key factor in a multitude of scientific and technological fields. It has helped transform the lives of millions, one of the most significant factions being- disabled people. Artificial intelligence has made advancements that have propelled the development of smart devices which have been pivotal in helping people overcome cognitive and physical challenges. It has broken barriers and has effectively improved the capabilities of disabled people. AI helps them enter a society where their difficulties are comprehended and taken into account. AI instills an important sense of equality and helps shape the world into a more inclusive place. In this paper, we will learn how AI reaches out to various types of disability profiles and the interface between AI and the impaired.
