Abstract

This paper describes and discusses the impact of technological developments on academic research. The writer who is an experienced academic researcher from India includes her personal experiences conducting research from pre-computer times to the present using computers with access to the Internet. A summary is also provided of current Internet resources for locating and accessing pertinent information, compiling, collaborating, publishing, presenting and protecting intellectual property.
