Study on Different Approaches to Manage Identity

Abstract

In order to offer personalized services to consumers, service providers need to be able to distinguish their customers. Therefore the customer's identity is established and linked to the services provided. This paper will introduce different approaches to identity management. It will compare the existing techniques and evaluate it in different aspects. This paper also suggests an innovative method to manage identities in web applications which is based on already existing protocol diameter.
